Producer & Individual Licensing

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Vermont Individual type licenses for Adjusters, Appraisers, Consultants, Reinsurance Intermediaries, Surplus Lines Brokers and Life Settlement Broker licenses renewed on March 31, 2016. Accordingly, the license of an Individual who did not renew as of March 31, 2016 has now lapsed. Vermont does not have a “grace period” for a license renewal, and a license cannot be “reactivated”. Individuals, whose license has lapsed, must apply for a new license. In order to apply for a license, choose the license type on the main page and follow the instructions listed under How to Apply for a License.

Vermont accepts Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) applications for Non Resident Adjusters

The Department is pleased to announce it is now accepting ADHS applications. An applicant applying for a license who has designated a home state will be able to obtain a Vermont adjuster license electronically using the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR). Individuals that already hold a Vermont non-resident adjuster license and have designated a home state will be able to renew electronically using their ADHS. Please note, Vermont does not allow non-resident adjusters to designate Vermont as a home state at this time.
