Long-Term Care Insurance Regulation

This Regulation pertains to all long-term care insurance policies; sets minimum standards for LTC polices; provides standards for marketing, outline of coverage, disclosure provisions, separability, loss ratios, replacement coverage and reserves; establishes requirements for inflation protection and delivery of Shopper's Guide; provides filing requirements for form, rates and advertising; identifies prohibited provisions.Sections 1 through 34 and sections 36 through 37 will become effective on April 1, 2010; Section 35 will become effective upon the effective date of Vermont's state plan amendment required by section 6021 of the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005; BISHCA Regulation 91-1 shall be repealed at midnight on March 31, 2010.
